Ashley is originally from a small rural city in Louisiana called Abbeville and also The Woodlands, Texas. She has been a helper for as long as she can remember. She started helping others in high school by being on retreat teams inside and outside of school and at Louisiana State University in a campus leadership position. She would go to high schools in the surrounding areas as a speaker to talk with students. She always wanted to help others but, decided to go to college to become a doctor instead and it only increased her curiosity to learn more about Psychology in relation to her Biology degree. In the end, she knew where she was being led and made the decision to return to school in order to be a counselor and continue on the path that she knew she always wanted. In the end, her background in Biology has helped to form her counseling approach in how we function biologically in order to better understand ourselves psychologically.
